FAQs

What colour space should my files be in?

Files submitted using online photo services should be in RGB TIFF or JPEG format without layers, alpha channels, paths or special compression options (compressed tiff files are not generally supported). Files should be set up in the sRGB colour space.

Who is PhotoCentral and where do my pictures go?

PhotoCentral provides web hosting for online printing services. Only Toronto Image Works will receive your files and process your order. Your files cannot be seen by anyone else unless you choose to join PhotoCentral and create online albums of your photos to share.

Do I have to join anything?

No. You can simply upload your files and select what prints you would like; no membership required. Before the order is submitted you will be able to provide the necessary contact information so that we can process your order and contact you when it is complete.

Why, when I click on 'Order Photos' does the next page say I need to install an ActiveX control?

The Photo Central ActiveX control allows you to pick files on your computer and upload them for printing.

Can I use this to order Giclée Prints?

No. Files uploaded through PhotoCentral are for Photo (Frontier and Chromira) printing only.
