The high-end Imacon 848 CCD scanner is quick and efficient and can rival the quality of drum scans at a lower cost per scan. The 848 scans standard film frame sizes from 35mm to 4x5, capturing 98% of the image area from transparencies and negatives. (Full frame scans including rebate area must be scanned on the drum scanner.)
