Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic Fine Art Inkjet Paper

Fresh off Hahnemühle’s production line comes Photo Rag Metallic, the newest inkjet fine art paper on offer here at Toronto Image Works. Boasting the same incredible colour depth as their other papers, but with a unique metallic sheen, this paper is perfect for enhancing any images with metallic elements such as automotive, architecture, or really anything you want to add some extra shine to.

It also matches Hahnemühles other papers in terms of both vegan status, and archival stability, meaning any prints with it are both free from animal products, and set to last hundreds of years in the right conditions.

These signed, fine art prints will be available exclusively through an online auction with Peggy’s platform @peggy while two of Kyle’s paintings will be on display physically at the Gardiner Museum @gardinermuseum for the *SMASH: Between Worlds* exhibition. *SMASH: Between Worlds* explores the concept of navigating between worlds and will feature multidisciplinary artists whose work challenges boundaries. The show opens with a reception on Thursday, May 30th 2024, and tickets are currently available for $150.
Kyle’s art delves into the intersection of dreams and reality. Inspired by Jungian dream theory and Mandukya Upanishad scriptures, his art merges Gestalt dream interpretation with visual analysis. Through a transdisciplinary approach, he transforms successive immaterial images into tactile artifacts that oscillate between abstraction and representation. These ‘Dream Artifacts’ embody the ethereal and corporeal, creating a bridge between the physiological reality of dreams and the physicality of art. Kyle’s work probes the ambiguity of identity through Eastern and Western philosophies, inviting viewers to decipher its rich visual code and agency.

It was hard not to miss this very large map in our production area recently. It is a reproduction of a fragile artifact by the City of Toronto Museums. @cityofto @TOHistoryMuseums They do this so the original can be better preserved and the reproduction can be on display for people to enjoy, learn from, and interact with.

DAMNED is a poetic homage to beavers and their home-building capacities, explored through the materiality of photography and its various technological manifestations. While photographic technology is the root of almost all Ramsey’s work, at the crux of ‘Damned’ are concepts and practices rooted in safety, care, collectivity and femininity.
